Emergency First Aid Guide

Quick reference for common emergency situations. Remember, in severe cases, always call for professional medical help immediately.

CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
  1. Check the scene for safety.
  2. Check for responsiveness: tap and shout.
  3. Call for emergency help or ask someone to do it.
  4. Check for breathing: look, listen, feel for 10 seconds.
  5. If not breathing normally, start chest compressions:
    • Place hands on center of chest.
    • Push hard and fast, about 100-120 compressions per minute.
    • Allow chest to fully recoil between compressions.
  6. After 30 compressions, give 2 rescue breaths (if trained).
  7. Continue cycles of 30 compressions and 2 breaths until help arrives.
